Date moved Back!

The operation date has moved back a week to AUG 26th.

Operation Date!

The date of the 'BIG' operation is Aug 19th!!! This will be a very stressful and worrying day I am sure. Please keep us in your prayers! I am sure our little buddy won't be smiling like this! :(

Surgery!

Well on July 1st we went to the cardiologist over here. Everything went well and they did a echo and a ekg. Alexander's Sat levels are only at 75% now. :( Our Doctor at Children's Hospital said that she thought they would do surgery in the next two months.

We were a little upset about that cause back in England they said 12-18 months. We want best for Alexander so that is what we will do.

Over than having to have his surgery we are all doing well! The 4th of July or Independence day was over the weekend and Alexander loved the fireworks. He was trying to reach at the fireworks. It was so cute. He absolutely loved them!!!!

At the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Walk!!!

Hello everyone! Well life is a little hectic now....Mommy is back to work and Daddy is home with Alexander. This is my fourth week of work and it is tiring. I am working back at Glazer's but in the Inventory Department. It is nice to get away but if we didn't need insurance I wouldn't be working. Also, I just got approved for the Master's program in Kinesiology with the emphasis in Adaptive Physical Education. I will just take one class next semester but its a start.

Alexander is doing wonderful. He sat up for a few seconds all by himself on Saturday night. He holds on to things if you put him next to a table or chair. He is really moving along. His Developmental Therapist comes on a Wednesday and the Physical Therapist on Friday. He is starting to learn sign language too. By the way he is still smiling too. :)

John got a notice in the mail that they have started working on his work visa. He can't wait to start working. It will probably be the middle of August or September. In the meantime we are looking for a babysitter to stay at home with AJ.

As a family we have been very busy....we have been going on the boat, doing charity walks and just enjoying the HOT summer! :)

DS Walk

Well over the weekend we went to the Budddy Walk sponsored by the Down Syndrome Group of Greater ST Louis. John saw it advertised and we thought we should do it. We had so much fun. There was 13 of us that went out to support Alexander. They had all kinds of kids toys , a painting area and free food and drinks after the walk. It was really a good time. It was very HOT that day though.

Update - We are in America!!!

Hello everyone! Okay so we finally have the internet! We have been in the states now about 2 and half weeks and it has flown over. We have been so busy.

Alexander is doing great and loves the weather. We found his new favorite toy now too. He has a Jumperoo and he absoulutely loves it!!! Thanks to his Uncle Paul. We also finally got the Bumbo seat too and he sits in it so good. He can't sit on his own yet, but he is almost there. Oh and now that we are in America and we don't have a bassinet or moses basket Alexander has to sleep all night in his own bed in his own room! He has been doing so well too! As of this week he is finally back in his own routine. Goes to bed around 8 and up around 6:30.

We went to his new pedeatrician last week and we really like her. She has a couple patients with Alexander's same heart problem so it was a little reassuring. We met with his early intervention program too and the Physical and Occupational Therapists are suppose to come out in a few weeks to do a evaluation on him. And Alexander's next heart appointment isn't until July 1st and that is at Children's Hospital in St Louis.

A Little Vacation to Amsterdam!

So we got Alexander's passport on Friday and then decided to take a little vacation. We went to Amsterdam on the ferry! We were only on the ferry for 2 nights and we got to visit Amsterdam all day Wednesday. We wish we would have been there longer but we really enjoyed our time away! Alexander had alot of fun and was excellent. All he did today was sleep! We must have worn him out! He was glad to be back home! :)

Today we only have 9 days till we leave! We have a get together with our friends and fam on Sat and then appointments next week and we are set to take off!
