We had a party at the house on Sunday and all his family and some friends were there. I think he really enjoyed himself.

1 year photo!!!

Alexander will be one year old on November 24th!!! Yeah! I really can't believe he is nearly a year old....he has been through so much! Well here is his one year photo and I really don't like it. It was the best one though.

This past week we also got his big boy haircut! I will post some pics after his party and you can see how cute it looks! He really looks so grown up now!

Halloween Pics

Well we finally got our Halloween pics back! Wasn't he sooooo cute! Also here is a pic at a hayride in October!

Also this past week we went to the heart doctor and the ENT at Children's Hospital. Alexander doesn't have to go back to the heart doctor for 6 months now! We were very ecstatic about that. He also is off of his dieuretic and only on his heart medicine. Yeah!

So at the ENT we did a hearing test with the audiologist. Then we saw the Dr. Molter. He is a very happy kid friendly man. He said Alexander has fluid in his right ear and that he will need tubes. He has never had a ear infection so I was a little confused. Apparently babies/kids with Down Syndrome have smaller ear canals and normally have alot of ear infections. He said he is very aggresive with down babies because it will affect his speech. So in 6 weeks we go back to the doctor and probably have tubes after the first of the year.

Dirtbiking

A few pics from the dirtbike race that John was in on Sunday. All proceeds were donated to the Toys for Tots. John hadn't raced in like 5 years so he was really sore. He is slowly getting back into it though. BTW Alexander didn't mind the noise though and we got really dusty out there.

October Fun!

We decided to dress up Alexander as a Bumble Bee for Halloween this year. He was really cute! In Edwardsville we actually go trick or treating on the 30th. They have a parade for the town on the 31st so no one is actually trick or treating on the 31st. We went around our neightborhood with our cousins then went to a friends house. Alexander seemed really sleepy that night so he wasn't full of smiles like he usually is. On the 31st though we went to Granite City to see a few Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and of course Grandma and Grandpa....and his favorite baby sitters....Heather Keith, Nana Deb, Grandma Carole and Grandpa John!!! He had more fun that night!
